Girls Need Their Daddys

Girls need their daddy in their life. Not just there every once in a while and just there to say ‘I love you’.

  •   Approximately 63% of youth suicides in the U.S. are kids who live in a home without a father.
  • About 24 million children in America, or 1 out of every 3, live in homes without a father
  • Studies show that fathers who are involved with their kids have better health, drink alcohol less, and have lower substance abuse
  • Approximately 40% of children of divorce haven’t seen their father in a year

Growing up with a father figure in your life is important. I know, lots of kids don’t have a dad in their life. I totally understand. My parents have been divorce since I was in the third grade and my father has been a wash out ever since. He would promise me things and wouldn’t keep them.  He showed me what I didn’t want in a guy. He showed me that you can’t trust everyone. He taught me that I can’t trust people at all. He lied, stole my childhood, stole my tears, broke my trust, and broke my heart.

I have sat at friends’ houses and constantly watched my friends play with their kids and feel jealous of their relationship. I mean, I was horrified that I, a seventeen year old, was jealous of sweet little girl and a little boy. I never had that type of relationship with my dad. When we were pretty little, I remember dad going to work and coming home around dinner time but instead of spending time with us; he would plopped himself in front of the tv and wouldn’t move until he went to bed. He refused to help around the house,  make dinner or play with us.

Little girls need to have a Father figure who will love them but not even just by saying but showing it. They need someone who will take out on dates,on adventures, road trips, every game, concert, graduation, birthday party, show them how to shoot, and how they should be treated by a guy. But you know what, they shouldn’t just be there will the happy moments but the sad ones too. They should be there every time you are stressed over a big test or project, failed game, heart break, friend fight, broken dreams, and broken promises. They should be there to hold them when you are crying over someone and not be the reason for the tears.

Good news is that a father figure doesn’t have to be the guy who helped make you but also it can be who choose to be the your dad/father. It can an uncle, grandfather, step-dad, or friend. As of 2011, my step-dad came married my mom and made his mission that he cold show as a real father, be there for us good and bad, he made it to almost every concert, parent meeting, Daddy/Daughter Dance, car accidents, graduation, and tears. He stepped up even though he didn’t have too. He told me and my older sister that he wasn’t going to replace our father and that wasn’t his intention but he didn’t need too. I knew deep down that he was my dad. He IS my dad.

  • When fathers are involved in their child’s education, the children perform better in school, learn more, and exhibit healthier behavior
  • In the U.S., there are about 2 million single fathers
  • Over 87 million cards are sent each year on Father’s Day, making it the 4th most popular day for sending cards.
  • In 2013, there were 214,000 stay-at-home (SAH) dads in the U.S. SAH dads are defined as married fathers with children younger than 15 who are out of the labor force for at least one year to care for the family while their wives work outside of the home

Thanks to for the facts on Fathers effect children and their homes!

Coming Back

Looking for something more in life.

Coming back after wandering for so long, it is hard and trying. You are physically, Mentally, Emotionally tired. Just tired all around. Just drained. Thirsty. Sweaty. Achey. Smelly. You are wondering is it even worth coming back, am I going to get hurt, my sins are too great for this “God”, He doesn’t know what I am going through but then you stop and realize “Wait! Why did I leave in the first place?”  If you are one of these 3 then you should know that, YES! It is worth you coming back to the feet of Jesus. It is a thought between Heaven and Hell and where you will be the rest of eternity.

If you are the 2nd option and you are saying “Am i going to get hurt again?”. Yes, you probably are. Wait. Let me finish before you close out. Yes, you probably are but it is not God’s doing. Yes, He let’s it happen do to Free will that He gave to us when we were made but he doesn’t wish it upon us. Sometimes, He will use it as a test if are to stay close to him or are we gonna fall in the trap of Satan. Just think you could die anytime within an hour, couple days, months, or even years, no one knows when they are gonna die, right? So why not come back to Jesus tonight and know where you are going then to have questions about where you are going.

If you the 3rd option, you are thinking that whatever you have done that God won’t forgive you because it is TOO great. Well, you are wrong.

Romans 3:24-26

and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[a] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

It says That ‘he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished’ and he doesn’t mean some sin but ALL sin. So no, you’re sin is not too great. Yes, He will forgive you because He loves you so much. He sent His son to die a horrible death for you, me, and the rest of the world. All you have to do is except his wonderful and free gift.

Just so you know, you aren’t alone in this fight. Tonight was the night, I came back to God. I put myself in His hands and I am putting one foot in front at a time. I am broke to a point where I thought a couple hours ago, I couldn’t be put back together but I am now trusting that God knows what to do with these broken pieces and He can make something beautiful out of them. I know for sure that this path is hardly easy and I am sure that I will have to get back up time after time but I know with God I can. What about you?
